As contractors who work in people’s homes every day, we act as the eyes and ears of our social housing clients and can help support residents first hand. That’s why we’re supporting the new #SHfallsawarenessmonth campaign that our new parent company Sureserve is helping RoSPA to launch by training our operatives on helping to prevent falls in people’s homes and communities.
Falls are the leading cause of accidental injury-related deaths and hospital admissions in England, with more than 450,000 people admitted to hospital each year due to a fall.
Jules Robinson, Falls Engagement Lead at RoSPA has put together this training video to help everyone identify early warning signs, ensure materials are stored safely, and check residents’ surroundings.
